Event Description:

It really did start as an art show in the alley behind the downtown stores. 2012 will mark the 43rd year of the Artist Alley Festival. On the last Saturday of September join with artists, vendors, classmates and others as they come to Chanute to play, shop and just generally have a good time. The day starts with a Chamber of Commerce Pancake Feed and includes a book sale at the Chanute Public Library, a parade and train rides. That evening, visitors can enjoy a Chanute Community Theatre production. Make your reservation now at the historic Tioga Suites Hotel and you'll be in the middle of all the activities. Look for Karol Good's booth - she has exhibited and sold her artwork since the first year of the festival!

There is no charge to enjoy the festival. However, you might want to bring your pocketbook/wallet to take advantage of all the great shopping and eating! There is a charge to have a booth. More vendors are always welcome!
