About this Exploration:
The days of sitting around the old soda fountain or getting news at the corner barber shop are becoming things of the past, but Oswego has replaced these modes of sharing information with the weekly gathering, simply called "Pie Day". Every Thursday, straight up noon, the locals know to get to Lori's for a piece of her featured pie and a heavy helping of gossip - er - ah, news. If you want to know who bought the old Smith place, or where the ambulance was headed on Tuesday, the folks at Pie Day are sure to have the answer to your question (or they'll make one up).
New to town? Lived here for years? Just passing through? There's always room for you. We just pull up another table and turn up the volume on the conversation.
Open every Thursday noon - 1 p.m.
