About this Exploration:

Len Dresslar, better known as the booming baritone of the Jolly Green Giant in the 1960s, was born in St. Francis.  His father was principal of the St. Francis Community High School from 1923 to 1928.  His mother was a substitute in the music department and had a private voice class.  Mr. Dresslar also voiced the role of Snap in “Snap, Crackle and Pop” jingles for Rice Krispies cereal.  He attended the Kansas City Conservatory of Music and spent 2½ years in a touring company of “South Pacific.”

The Cheyenne County Museum has additional information on Mr. Dresslar.
