Great Bend still upholds their historic buildings from when Barton County was first established. The courthouse was built in 1872 and is still used today, along with the neighboring Moses Band Shell where various celebrations are held every year.

This blanket can be found at Granny's Kitchen (925 10th St.) . A local favorite Restaurant that is known for serving the best breakfast in town. The blanket contains some of the main historical buildings in Great Bend and a couple from the surrounding areas.
