About this Exploration:
Pat and Bob Vavricka decided it was time for Ness City to have its own Pizza Parlor, so on February 6, 1985 Pizza Plus opened its doors for business.
Neither Pat nor Bob had any pizza baking background so Pat took a "crash course" at the Institute of Baking in Manhattan. This two-day course taught Pat all about the baking of the pizza. The night before the restaurant was to open Pat and Bob cooked their first pizza, they decided that the canned pizza sauce they ordered was too bland; so out came the spices, a dash of this and a pinch of that and the famous Pizza Plus sauce was conceived!
Pizza Plus is a Ness County tradition, once a child has grown and moved away from town, the first thing they want is a pizza from Pizza Plus when they come home to visit.
