About this Exploration:

Lorenzo Fuller, Jr. was a musical prodigy from Stockton who went to New York in 1945 and used his multiple talents to become a television pioneer.  In television, Mr. Fuller was versatile talent performed both before the camera and behind the scenes.  Fuller was given a 15 minutes musical spot on NBCYoung Lorenzo Fuller in 1947 and went on to become a musical director and special materials writer for sever
 
al early MBC shows, including Young Broadway, and TV Screen Magazine.  When Mr. Fuller competed on the Arthur Godfrey Talent Scout, he won!
 
Lorenzo Fuller's 1950 television show, Van and the Genie, on WPIX in NYC, broke racial barriers when he co-starred opposite a white female in a value driven series for families and children. 
 
On Broadway, he performed in several shows.  He brought the house down in Cole Porter's Kiss Me Kate with his rendition of "Too Darn Hot."
