Riverside Park

Address: Riverside Park Drive
Oswego, KS 67356

Website: www.oswegoks.com/departments/parks/riverside-park

About this Exploration:

A shaded island of paradise, Riverside Park seems to sit apart from the rest of the world,  Pretend you are a Native American and perched at the edge of the bluff to survey the surrounding area for pioneers fording the Neosho River.  Or simply enjoy a walk among the shade trees and gardens after a picnic with your family at one of our historic shelter houses while your children play in the playground or watch fish dance in the fishpond.

Visit after Thanksgiving when period lampposts are wrapped with red and white holiday lights, making for a very festive season.

Developed during the 1930s and built with the help of New Deal programs, we are sure you'll agree, this park is truly one of a kind!

Directions: From U.S. 160 turn north on Union to North Street, turn east and follow the curve into the park.

Open daily 6 a.m.-10 p.m.
