A late update!
November 22, 2014 marks the opening of Christmas Season in Osage City! This is the 5th year for our Osage City Christmas on Market Street, formally known as the Christmas Opener. Some changes are in place and the Chamber aspires to this year’s event being the biggest it has ever been. Proceeds from this day will help support ECAT, ECKAN, the local Warmth Fund, and the Chamber.
Osage City Christmas on Market is a great way to start off the holiday season and support our local businesses and organizations!
4:45pm Raffle Prize Drawing - Osage County Senior Center
The parade and lighting of downtown Osage City begins at 6:30 pm, encouraging lighted floats. The 2014 Parade theme and window decorating theme is "Festival of Trees - Galore!" Want to participate in the parade but don’t know what to enter? Enter a family float, a business float, an organization float. Dress up your dog. Ride your horse. Show your love for Osage City and share memories of Christmas' past. Spread joy, gratitude, happiness revolving around the holiday season any way you can. Prizes will be given away for the top three float entries. Come out and make this parade festive! Prizes for window decorating in 2014. The day begins with a Kiwanis Club pancake breakfast. A 5K Jingle Bell (Jodi Stark 785.528.5141) run is slated for morning and a luncheon to follow at the Osage County Senior Center on Market. Friends of the Library's ever popular table setting displays will be at the Osage County Senior Center. This features creative table designs entered by our locals. Raffle tickets drawings (tickets can be purchased at local businesses and at the craft show between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.. The Spirit of Giving Craft Festival continues its 21-yr tradition - at the Osage City school facilities (USD 420) (Janet Bosworth 785.554.5039).
The youngsters especially enjoy the PTA Ginger Bread House building activity at the school facility; and Story Time at the Library with a craft project.

Enter your prize-winning chili in the CHILI COOKOFF. Judging is from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Followed by an evening chili feed. All the entered chilis will be served! (Tricia Gundy 785.528.3990).
Mark your calendar for November 22, 2014. You will be in for a great day and evening and maybe a few surprises. This will be one for the record books!
